
Egypt to lobby special funds for South Sudanese students
On the 11TH 03 2014 – The government of the Arab republic of Egypt has promise to lobby funds to help South Sudanese Government sponsor students who have difficulties in pursuing studies in Egypt
Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim el Mahlab who states this in talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hon, Dr Barnaba Marial Benjamin, said Egypt would find ways possible to ensure South Sudanese who are not able to pay their Education are supported
He told the Minister that. Egypt would talk and convince the Arab Countries to help specialize Special Funds for South Sudanese Students in Egypt
The total South Sudanese students pursuing Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt is 2500 Students of which only 300 are been supported by the Government of South Sudan
The Egyptian Prime Minister after talks with Hon. Dr Benjamin. also appreciate the Government of South Sudan for urging the African Countries reinstate Egyptian Membership in the African Union pledging good relations in the nearest future
However, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said South Sudan would do all that is possible to ensure win-win solution to the problems facing the Nile basin Countries
The Minister is currently in Ethiopia for summit on the current situation in the Country the Republic of South Sudan.
